Special Issue: LA welcomes 4 new Auxiliary Bishops

On Sept. 26, 2023, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will celebrate a historic moment: the episcopal ordinations of four new Auxiliary Bishops to shepherd the People of God in the country’s largest archdiocese: Albert Bahhuth, Matt Elshoff, Brian Nunes, and Slawomir Szkredka. It will be first time in nearly 40 years that four auxiliary bishops are ordained together for the same archdiocese.

To mark the occasion, Angelus will publish a special double issue with full, behind-the-scenes coverage of the Ordination Mass, the new bishops’ respective backgrounds and stories, as well as photos and congratulatory messages from around the archdiocese and the country.
